You have no doubt heard in the media of the demise of the SHARPE’S group, who had been for nearly five years, sole distributors of our products.
Since that time late last summer, we have been inundated by calls and letters asking where anglers can buy our baits and flavours. Some of those enquiring had been using our baits for nearly thirty years.

To those who don’t know, the Rod Hutchinson brand is the oldest established bait company in Carp fishing, first formed in the late seventies. Add to the fact that I had been making and formulating baits for friends since the late sixties, you will realise that over forty years of Carp fishing experience has gone into these products. We should know something by now, shouldn’t we?

Names which are now common place in the Carp fishing world, such as Scopex, Monster Crab, Chocolate Malt, Megaspice, Sense Appeal, Protaste, Secret Agent, Mulberry Florentine etc, etc, all originated from this company. The names may have been copied many times, but the products have never been equalled. If you want the original product, this is where you obtain it.

Over the years, many old flavours have disappeared from this list. In some cases this is because some of the companies I originally traded with are no longer in existence. In other cases products were dropped because of changes in E.E.C. regulations. But some products, which were the favourites of many anglers, were discontinued simply because our distributors did not want a large product range, so they condensed it.

Keep a regular look-out on this Web Site. Wherever possible we will look to re-introduce many of those old favourites from yesteryear. I hope this site will keep you regularly informed, and we will do our best to help you get the best from products which have been fully tried, tested and successful for three decades.
